Conscious Connected Breathwork
Release stress, process emotions & reconnect with your body
This breathwork is a fast, active, circular and continuous style of breathing designed to encourage a deeper connection with your body, emotions and physical sensations.
The practice may support the release of stress and emotions that have not yet been fully processed, while creating space for greater body awareness, presence and connection. Some people describe the experience as a feeling of release, renewal or a shift in their state of being.
During a session, you may experience a variety of physical sensations, such as tingling, changes in body temperature, muscular sensations or dizziness. Some people experience a deeper emotional response, such as crying, laughter or other feelings arising. Others may experience very little or nothing noticeable, and that is completely okay.
Every person and every session is different. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to experience the practice.
If this is your first time, you may have some questions about what to expect, how to prepare and what happens during a session.
Here are some answers to the questions you may have, especially if you’re new to conscious connected breathwork.
-
Absolutely. You don’t need any previous breathwork experience to take part.
The practice is accessible to beginners, and you will be guided through the process step by step. However, this type of active breathwork is not appropriate for everyone.
Certain health conditions or circumstances may mean that this practice is not suitable for you at this time, including severe asthma, certain heart or cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy, pregnancy, or significant mental health conditions.
That’s why I ask everyone to complete an initial health screening before participating. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your individual circumstances and make sure the session is an appropriate and supportive space for you.
If you’re unsure whether breathwork is suitable for you, please get in touch before booking.

he active breathwork is only one part of the overall session. We usually begin with grounding and meditation, giving you time to arrive, settle into your body and connect with your breath.
From there, I’ll guide you into the active breathwork practice, using a fast, connected and continuous breathing pattern. Throughout the session, you’ll be encouraged to stay connected with your body and notice whatever sensations, emotions or experiences arise.
I may also incorporate gentle movement, such as shaking, to support participants in connecting with physical sensations and releasing tension in the body.
Where appropriate, I may offer somatic touch as part of the practice. This is always completely optional and will only be offered with your clear, informed consent.

Everyone is different, and every session can be different too, so there is no single way you should feel after breathwork.
Some people leave feeling relaxed, grounded and more connected to themselves. Others may feel energised, emotional, reflective, or simply notice a greater awareness of their body and how they feel. And sometimes, you may not notice a significant change at all, that’s okay too.
Many of my regular participants tell me that they find the sessions beneficial and that they feel more relaxed and connected to themselves afterwards. However, I encourage you to come without expecting a particular outcome or experience.
Rather than trying to achieve a specific result, the invitation is simply to stay curious, connected and present with your own experience, allowing whatever arises to be there without judgement.

These sessions are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of eight participants.
Keeping the group small allows me to create a more personal, supportive and intimate environment, where everyone has the space to feel comfortable and appropriately supported throughout the session.

I’d recommend a few simple things to help you feel as comfortable as possible and get the most from the session:
Avoid eating a large meal immediately before the session. A light meal or snack a couple of hours beforehand is usually more comfortable.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to breathe and move freely.
Stay hydrated before and after the session.
Avoid alcohol or recreational substances before the session.
Give yourself some space afterwards, where possible. You may want to take some quiet time to rest, reflect, or simply notice how you feel.
But most importantly, come as you are. There is nothing you need to achieve or perform. The invitation is simply to be curious, open and present with your own experience.
Group sessions aren’t for you?
That’s completely okay. If you prefer a more private and personalised experience, I also offer one-to-one breathwork sessions.
These sessions provide a more intimate space where we can focus on your individual needs and experience, with dedicated one-to-one support throughout the practice.
If this feels like a better fit for you, get in touch and we can explore whether a one-to-one session is right for you.
